Career Specialist Madyson Senior reports on her customer. “In April 2024, Dakota enrolled in Man-Tra-Con’s Youth Program. She needed assistance with completing her GED and was eligible for financial incentives for passing GED exams as well as a transportation allowance. Dakota earned her GED in less than one month! She was motivated by her 2 daughters and was dedicated to giving them the best life possible,” Madyson explains.
“As a Man-Tra-Con customer, Dakota will receive Workforce Investment and Opportunity Act (WIOA) services as she continues with her education. In the fall, Dakota will enroll in the Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) progam at John A. Logan College in Carterville, Illinois. After finishing the CNA program, Dakota plans to continue her education to become a Certified Medical Assistant. Through WIOA funding, Man-Tra-Con will be able to provide financial assistance to help Dakota with her college expenses such as tuition, supplies, and books,” Madyson adds.
“It’s been so nice being Dakota’s career specialist. She has already accomplished so much, and I can’t wait to see how she does at John A. Logan,” Madyson exclaims!
Dakota was very happy to receive assitance from Man-Tra-Con. “Man-Tra-Con has helped me navigate practically everything and I am beyond thankful,” Dakota says.
