Man-Tra-Con Corporation hosted a roundtable discussion with local employers, and community stakeholders highlighting the benefits of the Apprenticeship Illinois Program. The event was held at Man-Tra-Con’s regional office in Marion, Illinois, on September 16, 2026.
The discussion included presentations by Amy Murphy, from Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center (IMEC), Brenda Malone from Intermountain Electronics, Inc. (IE), and Abby Russell from Man-Tra-Con Corporation. Presentations demonstrated how apprenticeship programs might expand an organization’s talent pipeline and promote worker retention, plus offer tax benefits and more.
Over 30 people attended the roundtable event including staff from local colleges, and representatives from aviation, education, economic development, government, healthcare, manufacturing, social services, and technology organizations.
After the presentations, attendees were able to ask questions and get additional information about implementing an Apprenticeship Illinois program at their organizations. Photos below highlight the event.
