CEJA Director Greg Bouhl

Congratulations to Greg Bouhl, CEJA Program Director, on being selected as Man-Tra-Con’s October 2026 Impact Through Service Award recipient!

Man-Tra-Con CEO Stephanie Robinson, who presented Greg with the award, talks about his many contributions, “Greg joined the Man-Tra-Con team in the spring of 2025 to lead our efforts with the Clean Jobs Workforce Network (CEJA) program. CEJA was an entirely new undertaking for MTC, requiring us to approach workforce development differently than we had in the past. Greg stepped into this role knowing there would be challenges, a lot to learn, and a program to build from the ground up.”

“Over the past year and a half, Greg has worked hard to establish partnerships with training providers, community colleges, employers, and community organizations that have been critical to providing CEJA services throughout Southern Illinois. Along the way, he has navigated significant staffing changes, challenges with securing training locations, adjustments to program operations, and the many growing pains that come with developing something new,” Stephanie reports.

“Most recently, Greg has dedicated countless hours to preparing our application for the next round of CEJA Hub funding. From writing the grant to developing new partnerships and coordinating with colleges, employers, and training providers, he has gone above and beyond to position MTC for continued success. His willingness to put in the extra time and effort, often staying late to get things done, has not gone unnoticed,” Stephanie says.

“Beyond his work with CEJA, Greg is a valued member of our leadership team. He believes in his staff, works hard to provide them with the support they need, and is always willing to step in and help wherever necessary. He also brings a positive attitude and a sense of humor to the office, even on the days when finding something to laugh about isn’t easy,” Stephanie adds.

“While CEJA is still a relatively new program for Man-Tra-Con, and we know there are challenges and lessons still ahead, Greg has played an important role in getting us to where we are today. His flexibility, dedication, and willingness to learn and adapt have helped establish a strong foundation for the program. I truly believe that without his hard work and commitment, we would not be nearly as far along as we are,” Stephanie explains.

“Congratulations, Greg, on receiving the October 2026 Impact Through Service Award! Thank you for everything you do for Man-Tra-Con, your staff, and the communities we serve. We are fortunate to have you on our team, and your contributions are truly appreciated,” Stephanie says.
