Training and Retraining

Workforce funding is available through Man-Tra-Con Corporation to provide you with a unique opportunity to develop your own skilled workforce and save money while providing career growth opportunities to workers. Training services result in a win-win scenario for both the employer and the employee.

Types of Training Services available to Employers:

Work-based Learning

Work-based Learning (WBL) is an educational strategy that provides real-life work experience where academic and technical skills can be applied while, in some cases, earning money. Types of WBL include: On-the-Job Training (OJT), Apprenticeship, Work Experience, Internship, Transitional Jobs, and Incumbent Worker Training.

On-the-Job Training

Ideal for small business, our on On-the-job Training Program helps you get the employees you want with the skills you need. Through this unique opportunity initial training costs for skilled positions are offset while employees learn how to do the work you need. Workforce funding through Man-Tra-Con Corporation can be used to reimburse 50% of wages while your employee learns the skills you need.

Internship Work Experience

Internship Work Experience provides job candidates with experience in an occupation or profession at your place of business. Workforce funding can be used to allow Man-Tra-Con Corporation to be the employer of record, pay wages and cover worker’s compensation while interns gain experience at your place of business. There are no expectations that you hire the intern after the work experience ends.

Young Adult Services

Man-Tra-Con Corporation continuously seeks employers who are willing to be a “host employer” to help individuals, especially young adults, who are still trying to figure out their career pathway. Workforce programs allow Man-Tra-Con to be the employer of record, pay wages and cover worker’s compensation while individuals gain career exploration at your place of business.

Incumbent Worker Training

Workforce funding can be used to provide specialized training of your current workforce. A Man-Tra-Con business services representative will help you through the process of obtaining workforce funds to pay for training needs to prevent layoffs or to help your employees and your business stay competitive.

Registered Apprenticeships

Registered Apprenticeships (RA) are innovative work-based earn-and-learn models. Features of an RA include its flexibility in program design, opportunities for immediate wages for job seekers, and emphasis on partnerships for employers, making it an effective strategy for the workforce system. A Registered Apprenticeship meets federal criteria and has been accepted and approved by the USDOL office of Apprenticeship. There are over 1,500 occupations served by registered apprenticeships and opportunity for new apprenticeships across all industries to meet employer need. A Man-Tra-Con business services representative can help you create an apprenticeship for your business. Learn more about the Apprenticeship Program >>
