In November 2022, Philip Mau enrolled in the Apprenticeship Program at Crucial MRO in Murphysboro, Illinois. Philip had served 5 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and was looking for work after his tour ended.
Youth Program Coordinator Jo Dene Kern reports on her customer. “London contacted Man-Tra-Con in September 2023, requesting to be enrolled in our Youth Services Program. She was a struggling 17-year-old high school student who was seeking credit recovery and other supportive services,” Jo Dene explains.
After receiving her A&P license, Fawne applied for employment at Crucial MRO in Murphysboro, Illinois. In November 2022, she enrolled in the Apprenticeship Program through Man-Tra-Con and began working part-time at Crucial MRO as an apprentice mechanic while going to school at SIUC.
Twenty high schools from Regional Office of Education #21 (ROE 21) and Regional Office of Education #30 (ROE 30) participated in the event.
