Career Specialist Christina Abbott reports on her customer, “Mason was a recent graduate from high school and was working part-time at McDonalds when he decided he wanted to pursue a career in the nursing field. It was his goal from the very beginning. He was valedictorian of his class and was very motivated. Mason’s family was not able to provide all the financial support needed to assist with the high cost of the nursing program.
Career Specialist Michelle Sanchez reports on her customer. “When Dionna came to Man-Tra-Con for assistance in June 2015, she was a single parent who did not earn enough to support herself and her child. She had worked at a childcare facility until she decided to enter the healthcare field and work as a CNA,” Michelle explains.
Johnathan had not finished high school, and had been unemployed for 2 years when he visited Man-Tra-Con for assistance in July 2016. Career Specialist Autumn Basler was available to help. “When I first met Johnathon, he felt that he could not accomplish things and did not have many skills.

It was determined that Larry was eligible for individualized career services. As a dislocated worker from the American Coal Company, Larry had exhausted his unemployment benefits. I also discovered that Larry was a veteran, who had been honorably discharged from the Navy.”
