Career Specialist Madyson Senior reports on her customer. “In April 2024, Olivia enrolled in the Youth Program at Man-Tra-Con. She needed assistance with completing her GED and attended GED classes at the John A. Logan Extension Center in West Frankfort, Illinois. While enrolled in the Youth Program, Olivia received Workforce Investment and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funded incentives for passing her GED exams, as well as a transportation allowance to help her pay for gas to get to class,” Madyson explained.
“Olivia completed the training and earned her GED in less than two months. She is currently working at McDonald’s as a Crew Trainer to earn money for college. In the future, Olivia would like to study writing and journalism,” Madyson adds.
“Working with Olivia and watching her get her GED so quickly was incredible. I’m so glad that I could be there and help her through it. I wish her nothing but the best in her future endeavors,” Madyson says.
Olivia is determined to succeed and appreciates the assistance she received. “I’m so thankful for Man-Tra-Con’s help! Slow progress is better than no progress! Stay positive and never give up,” Olivia exclaims!
