Career Specialist Michelle Sanchez reports on her customer. “Caroline had just moved from another state and had been unemployed for 4 months when she sought assistance from Man-Tra-Con in August 2017. As a veteran, Caroline received priority of service. Since she already had a Bachelor’s degree, Caroline only wanted feedback on her resume and some interview help. She also attended a Career Readiness Workshop in Mt. Vernon, which she shared was very helpful,” Michelle explains.
“After applying for several jobs, Caroline was finally able to begin work at one of the hospitals in her town. She was quite content with that job but shortly after, she was notified of a job offer with the Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES). She couldn’t turn it down because the pay was significantly higher at $21.00 per hour. Caroline has been working for IDES as a Customer Service Representative since December 2017. She is very happy with her new job!” Michelle exclaims.
