Derek Levins talks about his experience in the Apprenticeship Program at AISIN for Quality and Production Engineering. “I started working with AISIN to complete my degree in August of 2024. At the time, there was a small reimbursement for classes so I was only able to take a couple classes a year as I worked toward my Engineering degree,” Derek explains
“In the fall of 2024, the leadership at AISIN came to me and pitched a Student Engineer Program that would allow me to work and go to school. There would be on-the-job training as I completed classes and the opportunity to have my costs taken care of by them,” Derek adds.
“I enrolled in classes full-time starting in January of 2025, and worked while going to school. Through this amazing program, I will graduate with my Industrial Management and Applied Engineering degree in May of 2026,” Derek adds.
“This opportunity has given me the chance to advance in skills and move up in a career field I would have never been able to advance. I am so thankful and blessed for this opportunity and cannot thank AISIN and Man-Tra-Con enough,” Derek exclaims!
