Career Specialist Robin Pritchett reports on her customer. “Fallon came to Man-Tra-Con in September 2025. She was seeking tuition assistance to earn her GED. Fallon was an out-of-school youth, a high school dropout, and basic skills deficient in math, making her eligible for WIOA assistance,” Robin explains.
“We were able to help pay for her tuition, books, fees, and transportation costs through WIOA training funds,” Robin adds.
“Fallon enrolled in GED classes at John A. Logan College determined to complete her GED before Thanksgiving break. She took her first GED exam on October 14, 2025, and her last of 4 GED exams on November 3, 2025. She took one exam each week for four weeks and passed them all,” Robin exclaims!
“Once she earned her GED, she applied to Southern Illinois University in Carbondale (SIUC) to continue her education to become an elementary art teacher. She started attending classes at SIUC in January 2026, and is enjoying it,” Robin says.
