DCEO accepting applications for DEI Grant
DCEO has released the Disability Employment Initiative (DEI) Round 4 Request for Application. The link for RFA information on the Illinois WorkNet portal is below. The goal of this program is to expand employment opportunities, job growth and overall employment satisfaction for people with disabilities.
DCEO's Round 4 DEI grant is geographically specific, so for this RFA only projects serving Local Workforce Investment Areas (LWIA) 1 (Lake County), and LWIA 25 (Franklin, Jackson, Jefferson, Perry, and Williamson Counties) will be funded. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until funds are depleted. The first round of funding decisions will be made in January.

Outlined in the RFA are the cornerstones of the initiative centered around Expanding Partnerships for Workforce Services, Financial Literacy and Asset Development and the use of Integrated Resource Teams.
If there are additional agencies that you know in the five southern Illinois counties listed above that might be interested in applying for a grant, please pass along the link.
Questions should be directed to Chris Pell, Disability Resources Coordinator for LWIA 25, Man-Tra-Con Corporation, via email.
